Should I keep my paintball gun?
I have a JT Tac 5 Recon. From the reviews I’ve read, it’s a pretty good gun with upgrades, and from my use of it with no upgrades its alright. I’m not sure if I want to get a Tippmann A-5, a 416 shroud, stock, and smart parts tactical 20 inch barrel and just keep my Tac 5 as is or to only have my Tac 5 with a stock and 20 inch barrel. BTW, I wanna get a bipod and I already have a scope. Also, if I got an A-5, would the threads from the Smart Parts tactical barrel fit my JT? Basically, which would be better: an A-5 with those upgrades or my Tac 5 with the said upgrades? If the difference is hardly noticeable than I’ll just save money and keep my JT.

Comparing the JT USA Tac-5 Recon to a Tippmann A-5 is like comparing apples to oranges. The Tippmann A-5 is by far a better choice, though I would not invest in the upgrades you are considering (ie. bi-pod and scope.) I prefer actual performance upgrades but to each his/her own.
JT USA Tac-5 Recon uses Spyder threaded barrels. To use your Smart Parts barrel, you will need to invest in a Spyder to A-5 barrel adapter, which you can buy for $12 to $15 — Jet City Specialties (JCS) or lapco paintball,
