Is it the right 98, the Tippmann Flatline barrel?
I've been paintballing for a couple of years and have a custom 98 and I'm deciding if I should get the Flatline for my gun. Please help
Yes, the Flatline said (range of 100 feet is not really like the guy said above), about 250 feet or is the real scope of a flat line as opposed to 200 or less for a barrel quite normal with a tilt Bang. It is not true, in fact, sacrifice accuracy range. However, a large barrel is certainly worth the investment, and sufficiently states. The Flatline barrel puts backspin on the ball, giving it additional lift, leaving the ball before fly further gravity takes its toll. This shift will allow even "curve" bullets, like a barrel of Apex, by maintaining the side marker, which is fine, too. However, as I said earlier, the rotation of the ball flies over, but not so accurate. In my book, the extra range more than makes up for it, I like Plunk a guy trying 4 or 5 shots at 225 feet to 190 feet with 2 or 3, which I can easily retaliate. BTW, you want a smaller paintball for a flat line, Unlike most of the barrels you want a tight fit, the Flatline needs a little space to put good backspin on the ball. You do not need a good thick / hard skin layer with small ball for best results. I have an A-5 with Flatline and I love it only had a few breaks in the tens of thousands of towers, and long range is outstanding.
